Thanks for an interesting paper! I'm always surprised with how neruology can make even the most every-day activities (like sniffing) interesting phenomena. Underwater sniffing is really interesting and astounding!

The history and background sections are well written and interesting.

For comments, I think that linking to a video example of detecting mouse sniffing could give the reader a better idea of the phenomena and measurements from it.

When mentioning something like "See above," it can be very helpful to name the specific section that one should see above. It just helps things to be easier and more well directed for the reader.

Very interesting paper and I'm looking forward to seeing more.
